U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a threat to the Iranian leader and even demanded Tehran surrender unconditionally. The U.S. Stratofortress B-52 (and possibly B-2) bombers are reportedly stationed at the Diego Garcia base in the Indian Ocean with a striking distance to Iran. At the same time, the Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces has issued a warning to citizens of Tel Aviv and Haifa to leave the cities out of the wake of the “actual punitive strikes.”

The U.S. president's panicked remarks imply that Israel is also suffering and that the war is not going well for Israel. We cannot naturally either debunk or corroborate this, nor his statement that "they" would now control the Iranian skies (which naturally hints at a direct U.S. involvement already). What would the U.S. stepping (more aggressively) into the conflict mean?
